Happy Holidays!

Wow! I cannot believe how quickly this past month as gone...I have not been on my pony since December 1st. I am having some major withdrawals. First I got sick, then it got really cold, then I got company...I'm back in the saddle this week, but I have a feeling I've done a bit of backsliding as far as my own fitness level. Oh well, we will work on it.

I've been reading everyone's blogs whenever I get a minute. It's a great way to get my horsey fix, when I can't go out myself. Your all so motivating and disciplined too! Looking forward to the new year and to setting some new goals and renewing some old ones. In the meantime, hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

  1. I have not been on my pony longer than that! Sigh. I still spend a lot of time with him, we just don't have a very safe place to ride in the winter. Hopefully, once his hoof abscess heals up and the weather mellows out, I can get back in the saddle! I love the xmas tree in your photo- beautiful!

  2. I also have a 3 week absence from the saddle because of a death in the family. I do get to ride early in the am...our desert riding groups Xmas brunch!!!

  3. I'm going to the barn later this morning. Gotta at least check on the boy. Whether or not I ride will depend on how much wind we have. right now it looks good. I put a medium weight blanket on him during the cold snap. It's time to change it back to the lightweight. He's a pretty furry fellow. Desert Rose, I had read about the loss in your family. I am so sorry. We lost my Dad on Christmas Day in 1990. I always think it's bittersweet to lose a loved one at the holiday season. Yes, the Christmas tree is mine. Thank you for the compliments. I'd like to take credit, but it is mostly the doing of my husband. I use to do it all...now I just sit back and let him have at it :)
